Visit a vineyard, the Pelmolen (an old mill) or an ice cream farm. Party centre Mölke offers you the opportunity to get to know the different enterprises that work with rural tourism and that are located in the beautiful Reggestreek. At these small and pleasant family enterprises you get the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and experience the work they do. During the excursion you can enjoy handmade food and drinks that you can eat/drink on the location. Below you will find an description of the enterprises that you can visit.
Vineyard Baan is located in the triangle Wierden, Enter and Rijssen. It lays directly at the river the Regge. The vineyard started in 2004 and grew out to about 5 hectare ground. There are 6 different kinds of grapesticks from which 3 different kinds of wine are created; white, rosé and red. There is also an half dry white wine that you can get at Vineyard Baan.
Dairy farm ‘De Koopman’
When you get over the hills between MArkelo and Rijssen then you pass by the farm “De Koopman”. There is a small terrace where you can relax and enjoy the delicious coffee and cake. At this farm they make handmade farmers yoghurt (the apple/kiwi is by many the favorite yoghurt), custard and delicious cheeses. Everything is pure nature without added extras and this you will taste!
Near Rijssen at the beautiful river the Regge there is located the 8-sided mill on a bar, the Pelmolen ter Horst. This mill with its elegant and though looks forms a prominent sight in the landscape since 1752. The mill was built in order from Jan ter Horst and was used from 1752 until the beginning of the 20th century. It was used to make oil from oil containing seeds and peel barley. The best years for the mill were in the 19th century when it became one of the most important industry mills in Twente while also forming an intersection for land and waterways.
Ice cream farm ‘n Mors
It’s not just that you can buy and taste the most delicious ice cream here, ice cream farm ‘n Mors is also beautifully located in the lovely Reggevalley. The locations makes ‘n Mors the perfect place to take a break for people who ride their bicycle or walk in the area between Rijssen, Nijverdal and Wierden. If you call beforehand you can find out how ice cream is made here. This way you can see and learn about the production of this cold delicious food, a combination between stern hygienic standards and beautiful natural ingredients like blueberries, chocolate and “boerenjongens” (A dutch delicacies of raisins soaked in brandewijn).
